Twenties Girl
May will forever hold the key to my heart, as we approach our very first
wedding anniversary - I am full of emotions. Although twelve months has seen a
lot of change, growth and direction I still feel goosebumps pronouncing my
'newly' acquired married name and can still recall our first dance (Heroes - by David Bowie) like
yesterday.
I don't think I want that feeling to ever change frankly.
We are soon embarking on our adventure to Asia which we will see us
celebrate our anniversary on the beautiful island of Phuket. This trip will
undoubtedly provide us with great tales of adventure, culinary discoveries
& lifelong inspirations.
As I also celebrate my birthday this month, I can't believe how much
difference a year can make. I feel stronger, wiser and far more balanced than
my much younger self. I finally feel I can live without any amount of pressure, competition or guilt in my life - from others or crucially from myself.
I genuinely believe that this age best symbolises my hopes and dreams. A modern day marriage, with old fashioned romance, a longing dedication and passion to stay fit and healthy, and a burning desire to
travel and see the world.
