Mother knows best

It’s often said a mother knows her daughter more than she knows herself. This sure can be said for my mum.

On a recent break, she brought me back home the most wonderful gifts. It’s very much the thought that counts.

Whilst charity shopping, she stumbled upon Sophie Dahl’s first book The Man with the Dancing Eyes. She wasn’t sure if I had this one or not, but figured it was more than worth the gamble priced at £1.25. Unbelievably I don’t have this book in my collection, but on immediate glance, I really don’t know why I haven’t come across this book before...

It’s very me, and if anything has made me realise my love for Miss Dahl even more so.

She couldn’t quite resist these Peter Rabbit chocolates, afterall he is my favourite bunny in the world.

  6. The first photo reminds me of this story they used to tell us in primary school, about a girl who brought these rabbit chocolates for her brothers birthday, and they tempt her so much that she ends up eating them all. I used to love that story and thought the chocolates sounded like the nicest things ever!

Thank you for your lovely comment :)

My mum doesn't know me well at all! It's always hit or miss with Christmas presents and she prefers to send me money for Birthdays.. which I don't mind at all! xxx

  8. My mum definitely knows me far too well. She usually knows before I do if something is up or I'm thinking about something.

Love the choccie Peter Rabbits and if Sophie Dahl takes after her Grandfather, the books are bound to be good. Must look into finding one.
