Dame, really?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

When I first heard about this I was in shock, so when I saw the actual products face to face in my MAC store the other day, I was pretty puzzled to say the least. I’m not a MAC fanatic (yet) but I will say this, they certainly have something going on. The Fafi collection out earlier this year was possibly one of the most exciting things I have ever seen. There back catalogue is also very impressive, Playboy, Heatherette, Manish Arora and not forgetting Barbie Loves Mac ♥

And I hear a Hello Kitty one is just around the corner. So I think whoever chooses the themes and designers has pretty good taste. Well until now. Maybe I’m just anti Dame Edna. But not only is she old and wrinkly, she is infact ….A MAN.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t have anything against Barry Humphries or MAC but it all seems a little bizarre.

MAC + Dame Edna

= Disaster (On the promotional flyer it says ‘our muse’ I just find it odd to be inspired by a drag queen. Conclusion - Cheap and Nasty

= Genius (The packaging is kitsch to the most extreme level and the shades are pretty quirky) Conclusion - Bold and Beautiful

Either way I know it’s got me intrigued for sure.

So I caught this film the other week on tv, Failure To Launch, and to be fair I was less than impressed. I think it’s hard watching Ms Parker not as Carrie. Cos to me personally Sarah Jessica is Carrie.

Anyhow I had heard about this girl Zooey Deschanel, but I didn’t really know much, so to my surprise she was in this film. I must admit she certainly kept me interested, I could tell from her character she was a little kooky. I’ve since had a browse online and I must admit I’m quite in awe of her vintage meets modern day look. Also it’s nice to see a brunette girl, usually I spend forever dreaming of peroxide.

I’m thinking she could be something pretty special. She even has ‘chanel’ in her name.

Twilight Movie

It’s official; Twilight is my favourite movie of 2008. (Sex And The City Movie a close second)

I will say one thing though; having read the book it is a little strange to see characters and settings a little different to how I personally imagined them. The bending of storylines and missing parts out could disappoint the die-hard Twilight fans, but one thing is for sure, something special was defiantly captured on film.

Whether it is the exquisite casting of Robert Pattinson as Edward, or the whole presence of the Cullen family playing a game of baseball, with Supermassive Black Hole blasting out in the background. This movie has a lasting effect; it’s a real gem and will never get old. I think the thing that touches me the most is how gentle, considerate and charming Edward is. He worships Bella, the fact that he is a vampire is almost irrelevant, the fact that he loves her unconditionally is everything.

This film makes me believe, not in vampires, but in love. And that is a very rare thing I find myself saying, and will probably not say again, unless proven otherwise ♥

So after only just catching the Twilight drama, I can't help but think is this just something else, I have been unaware of..?

Ummm. I want.

Ok, I have decided Diana Vickers is possibly something special.

Finally the stylist has given her something way more nicer than the Topshop rubbish week after week.
Last night on her second performance... she looked sensational. I really do like this girls look and this dress is so her. PERFECT

£79 by Darling Clothes

I'm so happy she's finally out of Topshop! Well actually I think the necklace was Topshop but accessories don't count, I've been known to get drawn in by there jewels.
It's not all bad.

As for the voice, and the Xfactor, I'm unsure, the judges were harsh on her last night. Alexandra seems to be stealing the crown, and deservignly. Diana will have a career, just maybe not as the Xfactor winner. Who knows.

In a world where nothing is original, Diana Vickers comes along...

She reminds me of Joss Stone, probably the feet thing and the voice thing.
I do like her VOICE and she does look STYLISH at times BUT i swear she's a walking advert for Topshop.

O well it seems to be working.

SO i went shopping for once in a very very very long time. And I forgot how amazing it is when you spot a bargain ...

The last time I read a book, I seriously doubt I got to the end. Infact I'd probably skipped to the back page as soon as i'd lost interest at page 6.

To my surprise.. I can't believe I went and read this book in 2days!!

Hmmmmm what do I have to say...

Love is obsession. Simple yet so complicated to grasp.

I feel more connected to Bella than I thought I would. She has a naive quality. Edward is a dream, I guess every girl is going to fall in love with him, if they haven't already.

Hot N Cold?

Ok i admit i hated 'I kissed a girl' and all the attention that came with it. I really don't follow this girls music career BUT she has grabbed my attention with her style.

I read some people are saying she's desperatly trying to be quirky, but i am actually liking Ms Perrys crazy clothing choices.

My two (she had like 10 or something daft) fave outfits from her presenting the MTV emas....

Attention grabbing - practical to wear = genius
